Sissy Spacek Signs With UTA (Exclusive)
The actress, who famously portrayed country singer Loretta Lynn in 'Coal Miner’s Daughter,' can currently be seen in the Netflix drama 'Bloodline.'
Sissy Spacek has signed with UTA, The Hollywood Reporter has exclusively learned.
Spacek's breakout performance came in Terrence Malik's 1973 crime drama Badlands, in which she starred opposite Martin Sheen. She followed that role with one of her best known performances in Brian De Palma's thriller Carrie. Playing the titular Carrie in the Stephen King adaptation earned the actress her first Academy Award nomination.
Spacek eventually did win an Oscar (as well as a Golden Globe) for her performance in the biopic Coal Miner’s Daughter, portraying country singer Loretta Lynn.
Her other screen credits include starring opposite Whoopi Goldberg in The Long Walk Home, Oliver Stone's JFK and the popular book adaptation The Help.
Recently, she has made a transition to the small screen. She currently stars in the Netflix drama Bloodline, which recently was renewed for a third season.
Spacek was previously represented by Innovative Artists. She will continue to be repped by management company MGMT Entertainment.
