Black Butterflies
Director: Paula van der Oest
A polished history lesson for the art house crowd. Dutch actress Carice van Houten (Black Book) plays South African poet Ingrid Jonker, whose work helped unite the Apartheid-torn nation. Liam Cunningham and Rutger Hauer also star in this period drama, which comes off strong reviews from its debut in Tribeca.

Amelie darling Audrey Tautou stars in this Franco rom-com based on David Foenkinos’ world-wide best-seller, about a woman who is courted by her Swedish co-worker while still mourning for her dead husband.

When she hears of a famed relationship guru (played by Steve Carell) in the town of Great Hope Springs, she must persuade her skeptical husband to get on a plane for an intense week of marriage and sex therapy.

Westfeldt (Kissing Jessica Stein) makes her directing debut with this comedy about college friends who decide to embark on parenthood —with decidedly mixed results. Westfeldt stars alongside an all star cast that includes Megan Fox, Jon Hamm, Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph and Edward Burns.

Written by Erik Jendresen (Band of Brothers), this English-language thriller, currently in pre-production, tells the story of a highly-trained, heavily armed man’s attempt to solve the mystery of what happened at 3:11 AM on a Monday morning, why there are fires raging all over a lifeless planet, why he senses another presence lurking just behind him and, most importantly, what happened to his wife and daughter.
