Slamdance: Dennis Rodman's North Korea Doc Among Films in 2015 Competition

Films starring Wyclef Jean, 'Pretty Little Liars' actress Ashley Benson and 'Girls' actor Alex Karpovsky will also screen in January in Park City

Colin Offland's documentary about Dennis Rodman's hoops diplomacy in North Korea, where he met with dictator Kim Jong Un, will receive a world premiere at the 2015 Slamdance Film Festival, which unveiled its narrative and documentary features competition lineup on Monday.

Actors appearing in Slamdance's dramatic competiton films include Pretty Little Liars' star Ashley Benson (Ratter), Helen Rogers and Lauren Molina (both appearing in Body), Alex Karpovsky (Tired Moonlight) and Nick Flanagan (Diamond Tongues).

This year's feature film competition has 13 world premieres in all, including for Branden Kramer's Ratter, about a stalker moving from hacking a young woman's digital devices to pursuing her directly, Britni West's Tired Moonlight, which also stars Liz Randall and Paul Dickinson, and The Resurrection of Jake the Snake, Steve Yu's doc about the TV wrestler Jake Roberts that has appearances by WWE stars Chris Jericho and Steve Austin.

There's also a world premiere for the Wyclef Jean-starrer Sweet Micky for President, directed by Ben Patterson. The Slamdance Film Festival will take place from January 23 to 29 in Park City, Utah.
