The galaxy's favorite emo villain participates in an episode of 'Undercover Boss: Starkiller Base' and later, Driver and Vanessa Bayer (with help from Liev Schreiber) play parents who party all night after their Golden Globes win.

Adam Driver brought the Force with him to Saturday Night Live.

The Cardinals-Packers NFL playoff game went into overtime and delayed the start of the show by 45 minutes, but the first-time host was unfazed by the live-show curveball.

After the cold open (which followed trend by mocking the latest GOP debate), Driver — who plays villain Kylo Ren in Star Wars: The Force Awakens — jumped right into an opening monologue where he fielded Star Wars fan questions from castmembers. "Please, please, please go see [The Force Awakens], if this one does well there might be another," he joked to the audience.

For the first sketch of the night, the show did tackle the Cardinals-Packers game, but it featured Driver and Beck Bennett as broadcasters who continuously showed a replay of one of the players (Pete Davidson) breaking his legs during a tackle.

But Star Wars fans didn't have to wait long for their favorite emo villain to appear. In the next sketch, Driver reprised his role as Kylo Ren to go undercover for an episode of Undercover Boss: Starkiller Base. Posing as "Matt," a radar technician, hidden cameras showed Kylo Ren chatting up his employees in hopes of finding out how they really feel about their lightsaber-happy boss.

Driver continued to show his range of talents in other nontopical sketches throughout the night, appearing as a silly TV host for America's Funniest Cats, a singing Aladdin who flies Jasmine over war zones and as an aptly named Dr. Rockhard.

Later in the night, Driver and Vanessa Bayer mocked the Golden Globes in a pre-filmed skit that showed them winning a Globe while their kids sadly tuck themselves in at home. After dropping the commonly used "kids if you're watching, go to bed!" line while accepting their award on TV, the duo proceeded to party, hard, all night. In the morning, the kids find the pair passed out on the couch and a shirtless, apron-clad Liev Schreiber is cooking breakfast in the kitchen. "We had a, uh, good, cool time," he tells them.

The musical guest was Chris Stapleton and Fred Armisen returned to the stage to lead a tribute for the late David Bowie. Next week features two more first-timers with MMA star Ronda Rousey as host and Selena Gomez as musical guest.
