The rapper would reteam with longtime sitcom producer Don Reo for the project.
Snoop Dogg could soon add sitcom star to his growing résumé.
The rapper/reality TV star is developing a family sitcom at Warner Bros. TV in which he would star as the father.
The project would reteam him with longtime producer Don Reo, with whom he worked on Brothers.
The rapper has been busy developing other projects, including an American Idol-type reality show that would focus on finding the next hip-hop star.
In addition, Snoop Dogg is also teaming with rapper Wiz Khalfia for the feature High School, dubbed as a “comedy stoner movie.”
His TV credits include Doggy Fizzle Televizzle, a sketch comedy show he produced and starred in for MTV from 2002 to 2003; Snoop Dogg’s Father Hood, a reality series following his family that ran on E! for two seasons. He was also behind Dogg After Dark, a variety show featuring celebrity interviews and musical performances on MTV.
Reo’s recent credits include such series as Two and a Half Men, Everybody Hates Chris and My Wife and Kids.
Reo and Snoop Dogg are both repped by Paradigm.
