Social Gathering: Gigi Hadid Shuts Down Twitter Troll; Prince Harry Holds a Baby
And Reese Witherspoon celebrated the big 4-0 with Nicole Kidman, Keith Urban and Taylor Swift.
Can't keep up with what's been going on in the social media world? Fret not. Here, a gathering of what the stars have been up to this week on social media.
Looks like Kanye West is easing his way out of his $53 million debt, thanks to his Pablo pop-up shop in NYC. West tweeted the pop-up shop sold $1 million worth of merchandise in two days, but retail analysts aren't buying it.
but there is no other brand that could sell 1 million dollars of clothing in 2 days from 1 location!!!— KANYE WEST (@kanyewest) March 22, 2016
Shutting down Twitter trolls isn’t something Gigi Hadid's afraid of. When a user questioned just how many relationships the supermodel has been in, she shut it down quickly and effectively. That user has since deleted that tweet.
I've dated 3 guys in 3 yrs, hun. My walk can always get better; I hope the unrelated bitterness in ur heart can too. https://t.co/BrsLY1akML— Gigi Hadid (@GiGiHadid) March 23, 2016
Funny girl Khloe Kardashian loves to tweet questions (see here and here), but are they her own? BuzzFeed launched an investigation this week to see if the reality star is stealing questions from sites like Yahoo Answers and Quora. Her response? See below.
I love your answers!!!! Thank you for making me better!— Khloé (@khloekardashian) March 25, 2016
Digital queen Kim Kardashian shared Instagram tips on her app, much to everyone’s excitement. So what’s the secret to 64 million Insta followers? Choosing the same filter, lighting, "a curated feed, not posting too much per day and sticking to a theme."
We can keep up with the Kardashians, but Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber? Not so much. The prince of pop posted a throwback photo of him and Gomez kissing, but she didn’t return the favor. Former Bieber flame Hailey Baldwin posted a subliminal quote days later, which is total Instagram breakup protocol. Breakups in the age of social media are tough. Pro tip: Don’t lurk, make like Elsa and let it go.
Posting babies on Instagram gets a lot of likes, period. The Kensington Palace Instagram account, dedicated to the "work and activities of the The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry," posted a photo of Prince Harry holding a baby in Nepal. Cuteness overload.
While most kids celebrate Easter with an egg hunt, Blue Ivy Carter recently celebrated with a private Easter tea party, where she donned a flower crown and a bright pink Oscar de la Renta dress. It just goes to show that Bey and Jay Z's daughter isn't like most kids.
Southern belle Reese Witherspoon turned 40 this week, believe it or not. Witherspoon rang in the milestone in style, alongside Nicole Kidman at dinner. Birthday week began last weekend when Taylor Swift, Elizabeth Banks and Kate Hudson partied with the star, with Witherspoon ending the night by jumping onstage with country singer Keith Urban for a rousing rendition of "Sweet Home Alabama." This is 40.
Cate Blanchett's new pink 'do set the social media sphere ablaze, with users giving an overall response of approval of the unexpected beauty change. Blanchett now joins the elite club of actresses who have had pink hair. Too bad Blanchett’s colorist, Nicola Clarke, hasn’t shared any behind-the-scenes photos of the process.
Lilly Pulitzer's grandson, Chris Leidy, is nothing like his designer grandmother — at least when it comes to her preppy designs. Instead, he's a tattooed hunk and photographer. Much like Pulitzer’s shift dresses, Leidy is total eye candy.
