"We are excited to bring stars with a combined tens of millions of followers to one place so that thousands of fans with whom they have interacted can meet them up close and personal," said John Macaluso, Wizard World CEO. "Several have appeared at our Wizard World Comic Cons and have been huge hits, so creating socialcon a series of events highlighting the social media stars is a natural addition."

Socialcon Chicago will run as a distinct event from Wizard World Chicago Comic Con, with separate admission, programming and show floor.
