Makeup Monday: Solange Collaborates With Kiehl's to Benefit Children's Education
Talk about a powerful combo.
Singer, songwriter and all-around style maven, Solange, has a new beauty collab.
But before you start envisioning an extensive range of quirky-chic cosmetics that would fall in line with the fashionable star’s aesthetic, this partnership serves up something even better than dewy skin and a crimson pout (it’s possible), by benefitting children’s education.
Starting Oct. 1, a limited-edition box of Kiehl’s best-selling Powerful-Strength Line-Reducing Concentrate, designed by Solange, will be released at the Kiehl’s Flagship in New York, Kiehl's at The Grove and on Kiehls.com. Proceeds of the sales from the product ($102 for 3.4 oz) will go towards a $25,000 donation to charities DonorsChoose.org, 14+ Foundation, Inc. and Son of a Saint.
"Education should not be a privilege, but a right that every child deserves, and I couldn't be more excited to now have a partnership with Kiehl's to support this belief," Solange said in a press statement.
The New Orleans based-singer is also passionate about local charity Son of a Saint, which mentors boys and young men who have lost their fathers, until they receive their college acceptance.
"Over the last decade, I've had the honor to work alongside many wonderful people doing outstanding work in all facets of education and I look forward to continue working with incredible organizations such as 14 Plus who are building schools from the ground up in Zambia, and New Orleans' inspiring mentorship program for young men who have lost their fathers, Son of a Saint," adds Solange.
Additionally, every customer who purchases the product will receive a $25 DonorsChoose.org gift code, found in the inside of each sleeve.
Quite a bit of power in this Powerful Line Concentrate. Oh, and bonus, it helps get rid of wrinkles and smoothes out the complexion too.
