Sony Marketing Team Enlists Jeffrey Godsick From Fox
Formerly president of Fox consumer products, he has been named executive vp worldwide partnerships for the Sony motion picture group.
Jeffrey Godsick is joining Sony in the newly created post of executive vp worldwide partnerships for the motion picture group, it was announced Wednesday by Josh Greenstein, president of worldwide marketing and distribution for the motion picture group.
Godsick, who comes to Sony from Fox where he served as president of Fox consumer products, will take up the new post on May 31 and will report to both Dwight Caines, president of domestic theatrical marketing and Michael Horn, president of international marketing. He’ll be charged for leading the creation and execution of global promotions strategies for the studio’s films.
At Fox, he oversaw consumer products activities and licensing for Fox’s film and TV properties. Before that, he held several senior marketing positions at Fox’s film division. He began his career at Columbia Pictures as an assistant field manager, working on films like the original Ghostbusters.
“Jeffrey is an accomplished marketer with a track record of success leading impactful worldwide partnership campaigns,” Greenstein said in announcing the appointment.
