Sony's 'The Interview' Now Available on iTunes

Apple is a little late to the party

Sony's controversial comedy The Interview is now available on iTunes. 

Starting Sunday, iTunes users in the U.S. and Canada can rent the film for $5.99 or purchase it for $14.99. The film became available on the Apple provider at 1 p.m. ET.

Recode previously reported the news.

The film was released on YouTube, Google Play and XBox on Wednesday, and it hit select theaters Thursday.

It has taken in an estimated $2.8 million from 331 theaters over the four-day weekend, following its wide release having been canceled in light of threats from hackers.
