Sosie Bacon Named Miss Golden Globe 2014
The Hollywood Foreign Press Association has named actress Sosie Bacon Miss Golden Globe 2014 for the 71st Annual Golden Globe Awards.
"I am delighted to have Sosie Bacon continue the tradition and have her be our 2014 Miss Golden Globe," said HFPA President Theo Kingma. "As we all know, she comes from a very talented family and this gets us one degree closer to Kevin Bacon."
Kingma announced the news Wednesday along with 2013 Miss Golden Globe Francesca Eastwood.
"I am so grateful to the Hollywood Foreign Press Association for naming me this year's Miss Golden Globe. As a young actress who is just beginning my career, it is truly an honor to be a part of such a special night in film and television," said Bacon. "I can only hope to continue the legacy and tradition of Miss Golden Globe by following in the footsteps of my predecessors."
The 71st Annual Golden Globes airs live on NBC Jan. 12, 2014, with a pre-show beginning at 4 p.m. PST and the main telecast airing from 5 to 8 p.m. PST. It will be broadcast from the Beverly Hilton Hotel with hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler.

Fox and Tracy Pollan), Rainey Qualley (daughter of Andie MacDowell), Gia Mantegna (daughter of Joe Mantegna), Rumer Willis (daughter of Demi Moore and Bruce Willis), Laura Dern (daughter of Diane Ladd and Bruce Dern), Joely Fisher (daughter of Connie Stevens and Eddie Fisher), Melanie Griffith (daughter of Tippi Hedren), Freddie Prinze Jr. (son of Freddie Prinze) and Mavis Spencer (daughter of Alfre Woodard and Roderick Spencer).
The Golden Globe Awards are produced by the HFPA and Dick Clark Productions.
