"Why did I listen to Colin Kaepernick? He’s not even any good.”

South Park is almost back for another season and in one of its first teasers, the adult cartoon pokes fun at Colin Kaepernick and his national anthem protest.

The promo shows a portion of the small Colorado mountain town singing the "Star-Spangled Banner," but the lyrics start with, “Colin Kaepernick is great, Cops are pigs, cops are pigs.” But then the townspeople change their tune with "Wait, someone just took my stuff, I need to call the cops. Oh, no, I just said 'cops are pigs.' Who’s gonna help me get my stuff? Why did I listen to Colin Kaepernick? He’s not even any good.” It then changes gears once again.

Kaepernick, the San Francisco 49ers backup quarterback, has been making headlines because he refuses to stand for the national anthem in protest over how minorities are treated in America.

He has rallied a lot of support from fans and players, but there seems to be just as much ire over his actions.

South Park returns for its 20th season Wednesday. The Hollywood Reporter will have an enormous oral history of the show, featuring creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker, along with numerous others involved with the iconic cartoon the day the show premieres.
