'South Park' to Tackle Elementary-Age Gay Crushes
"Cartman, who struggles to understand his friends’ relationship, finds he has an admirer of his own."
It appears South Park is going to address two elementary-age boys liking each other — or at least the rumor that they do — in Wednesday's episode.
In the sixth episode of the 19 season, titled "Tweek x Craig," news of the boys possible relationship makes its way around the school while students draw the pair as "yaoi" characters, according to Comedy Central.
Yaoi is a Japanese genre of anime depicting gay men. The show has invited yaoi artists to submit their work to possibly be featured on the show.
"Mr. Mackey tries to figure out who started the rumor. Meanwhile, Cartman, who struggles to understand his friends’ relationship, finds he has an admirer of his own," Comedy Central said in a release.
An old character is also being brought back for the episode — Cupid Me, the god of love as imagined by Cartman. The character last appeared in 2012's "Cartman Finds Love."
