Spike Adds Pair of Unscripted Series
"InkMasters," a tattoo competition show, will air in the summer, and the dealership fix-it series, "Car Boss," is set for next year.
Spike TV is getting into the tattoo and auto repair business with a pair of unscripted series orders.
InkMasters, produced by Original Media (Miami Ink, L.A. Ink, The Rachel Zoe Project) and from executive producer Charlie Corwin, is a reality-competition series featuring a search for the nation's top tattoo artist competing for a cash prize.
Spike has ordered six episodes that will feature technical and creative challenges. It begins production in May and will air in the summer.
Car Boss, created by Vem Miller and produced by Ben Silverman's Electus, will feature auto dealership "doctor" Tom Stuker traveling to struggling dealerships across the country in a bid to boost sales.
Production on eight episodes begins in the summer. It is slated for a 2012 premiere.
