Sports Network promotes Redmond to vp
EmptyTORONTO -- Canadian cable sports channel the Sports Network on Monday promoted Shawn Redmond to its top marketing post.
Redmond, who joined Toronto-based TSN in 2005 as a senior marketing manager, becomes vp marketing and will oversee consumer marketing at the national sports channel.
Redmond also will assume the marketing helm at the digital cable channels NHL Network and ESPN Classic, which like TSN are owned and operated by parent CTV Globemedia.
TSN's main sports properties include the NHL, the NFL, the NBA and the Canadian Football League.
Before joining TSN, Redmond performed executive stints at the RBC Financial Group and Molson Canada, a major Canadian brewer.
