Kim Hatamiya has been promoted to executive vp marketing at Sony Pictures Television International.

Hatamiya oversees all marketing outside the U.S. for Sony's vast international television activities, including film and TV productions distributed to foreign broadcasters, cable and satellite providers, mobile and digital entertainment providers and Sony's growing portfolio of local-language productions. Hatamiya's responsibilities encompass all marketing, advertising, publicity, promotions, talent relations and research. She reports to SPTI president Michael Grindon.

Grindon praised Hatamiya's "varied background that includes launching and managing international TV channels, programming, production and new media as well as marketing and her business acumen."

Hatamiya joined SPTI in April 2003 as senior vp marketing. Before coming to Sony, she was senior vp and general manager of TV and film for the Los Angeles-based media company Mindrocket Media/JP Kids Inc. Hatamiya also served in senior executive posts at Passport New Media, Fox Kids Worldwide, HBO and Imagine Entertainment.
