Stanley heads showbiz at L.A. law firm
EmptyFormer reality show producer and studio executive David G. Stanley will head up the entertainment transactional practice at the Los Angeles law firm of Greenberg Glusker.
Stanley, a 1976 graduate of Golden Gate University School of Law, has been with the firm for two years. He replaces veteran transactional attorney Robert Marshall, who remains at the firm.
"Bob has been doing the heavy lifting in this department, especially from an administrative standpoint, for a long time," Stanley said. "And since I've been there for a few years, I wanted to help out with that and get out there in the market and let people know who's here and how good they are.
"I will certainly be counting on Bob to fill in all the gaps and help me do what will be a challenging, but what I hope will be a fun and successful task," he added.
Stanley has worn many hats in his 30-year career. On the business side of the entertainment industry, he has worked as an executive at NBC, MGM/UA, Metromedia, Lorimar Television and Warner Bros.
On the producing side, he formed Stone Stanley Productions, which produced several reality shows, including "The Mole," "Popstars" as well as "The Man Show" and "Loveline."
Stanley oversees a department with some of the entertainment industry's top lawyers, including uber attorney Bert Fields, Bonnie Eskenazi, Hillary Bibicoff and Marshall.
