'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' Star John Boyega Joins 'The Circle'
Tom Hanks and Emma Watson are starring in the James Ponsoldt-directed film.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens star John Boyega will join Tom Hanks and Emma Watson in The Circle.
The film, an adaptation of Dave Eggers' book, will be directed by James Ponsoldt, who also wrote the script. The story centers on a recent college graduate (Watson) who lands a job at a powerful tech company called The Circle, which is co-owned by a charismatic man (Hanks).
Boyega will play another employee at The Circle. He and Watson's character develop a relationship after she starts working at the company.
Hanks is producing via his company Playtone along with Gary Goetzman. Ponsoldt is also producing with Anthony Bregman, Walter Parkes and Laurie MacDonald.
Boyega nabbed the hot role of Stormtrooper Finn in Disney and Lucasfilm's Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which hits theaters in December. The actor, who made his film debut in 2011's Attack the Block, is repped by WME, Identity Agency Group and Hansen Jacobson.
