Starz CEO Chris Albrecht's Compensation Rises 136 Percent to $30.4 Million in 2013
Starz CEO Chris Albrecht's compensation rose to $30.4 million in 2013, up from $12.9 million a year prior, the company said in a regulatory filing on Tuesday.
The CEO's 136 percent rise in compensation was due primarily to a surge in option awards, which amounted to $28 million in 2013 compared with $11 million the year before.
In 2013, shares of Starz, the parent company of several cable TV channels, jumped 120 percent.
Scott Macdonald, the CFO, saw compensation of $2.8 million in 2013, up from $1.6 million a year earlier.
Steven Beabout, the general counsel and secretary, earned $2.5 million, also up from $1.6 million.
President Glenn Curtis was paid $4.1 million, up from $2.2 million, and Carmi Zlotnik, the director of Starz Entertainment and Starz Media, made $3.3 million, up from $2.2 million.
