"A supermodel is a supermodel. I respect and admire all these women in my industry, in particular Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner."

Stephanie Seymour would like to set the record straight.

The 47-year-old has been the target of some unflattering media attention after her recent comments to a Vanity Fair reporter — the '90s supermodel stated that "Instagirls" a la Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid should be called "bitches of the moment" rather than supermodels — made the rounds on the internet. The remarks reignited the age-old feud between OG supermodels vs. "Instagirls" (models whose careers have been significantly bolstered — if not built — on their strong social media following), which Rebecca Romijn, Naomi Campbell and Cindy Crawford have all weighed in on.

Seymour's comments, however, appear to be the most inflammatory yet. Even Jenner, who has stayed relatively quiet on the issue, spoke up after Seymour's comments surfaced. In a blog post on her website titled "The Supermodel Debate," Jenner waxed poetic on the issue, writing that giving Instagirls the "supermodel" title "doesn't take anything away from supermodels of the past."

With regards to Seymour specifically, she added, "I actually looked up to her. She has a daughter! I guarantee you that she didn't imagine someone so publicly shaming her daughter when she made those comments about us being 'bitches of the moment.'"

On Monday, however, Seymour (ironically) took to Instagram to clear the air. "I don't usually address rumors, but since feelings have been hurt I would like to set the story straight," she captioned an image of Hadid and Jenner. She continued, "I respect and admire all these women in my industry, in particular Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner. Having been in the business over 20 years I know how hard these women work. Bravo to both Gigi and Kendall for their success!"

Consider the hatchet buried.
