"Please stay tuned and join us for the next seven magical nights, when each evening, you'll be visited by a new Hanukkah emissary, who will join you in celebrating the holiday."

In honor of Hanukkah, Stephen Colbert launched an eight-part video series on The Late Show's YouTube page on Sunday night.

"Hanukkah, the festival of lights, the candle industry's Black Friday," said Colbert. The Catholic late night host describes what he thinks Hanukkah is all about, singing verses from Fiddler on the Roof and playing battle dreidels.

"Please stay tuned and join us for the next seven magical nights, when each evening, you'll be visited by a new Hanukkah emissary, who will join you in celebrating the holiday," said Colbert, with a menorah lit behind him.

"It's kind of like A Christmas Carol, but without that Ghost of Christmas Past garbage. That being said, I make no promises that you won't be visited by other ghosts unrelated to Hanukkah. I don't know what you've done in your life. You could be a terrible person."
