High-profile films screening at the annual New Jersey event include 'Casting JonBenet,' 'City of Ghosts' and Oren Moverman's 'The Dinner.'

Montclair Film has announced the full program for its sixth annual festival and, once again, longtime supporter Stephen Colbert's conversations with big names are among the highlights of the lineup. The Night Of star John Turturro will sit down for a chat with Colbert on April 30. And on May 6, Colbert will conduct a post-screening discussion with Bill Nye after the presentation of his new film, Bill Nye: Science Guy.

Nye's film will be screening out of competition as will Oren Moverman's The Dinner, making the festival rounds, and the following films with high-profile directors Abacus: Small Enough to Jail (Steve James), The Hero (I'll See You in My Dreams helmer Brett Haley), Megan Leavey (Gabriela Cowperthwaite) and Paint it Black (Amber Tamblyn).

The festival will also be the site of the world premiere of actor Michael Angarano's directorial debut, Avenues.

High-profile films in Montclair's competition lineups include documentaries Casting JonBenet, City of Ghosts and Supergirl. In addition, there will be two live music presentations at this year's festival: Selections from the score for Thomas Lennon's Sacred will be performed live under the direction of composer Edward Bilous after the film screens on Monday, May 1, and Lee Ranaldo will perform following the May 6 screening of Fred Riedel's Hello Hello Hello: Lee Ranaldo: Electric Trim.

"This year, we have been fortunate to find filmmakers who are making work that gives depth and shape to the vital conversations of our time," Montclair Film executive director Tom Hall said in a statement. "The festival is an opportunity for bringing audiences together with these incredible artists, so that, together, we can enjoy and engage with the images, ideas and insights that are illuminated in these wonderful films."

The Montclair Film Festival is set to take place from April 28-May 7 in Montclair, N.J.
