The film is writer-director Nico Sabenorio's feature debut.

Stephen Moyer and rising star Beau Knapp have joined the drama Juveniles.

The film centers on a present-day teenager who deals with violence and poverty in small-town America, struggling to overcome familial rivalries and seek a better life. It's the feature directorial debut of Nico Sabenorio, who also wrote the script.

DisruptiveLA's James Burke, Chris Miller, Scott Disharoon and Elliot Rosenblatt are producing. Principal photography will begin this month.

Moyer and Knapp join a cast that includes Martin Henderson (Sundance TV's The Red Road), Nick Eversman (Wild), Morgan Lily (X-Men: First Class) and Kevin Alejandro (The CW's Arrow).

Moyer ended seven seasons on HBO's True Blood in August. His other recent credits including the West Memphis Three drama Devil's Knot, opposite Reese Witherspoon, and NBC's live performance of The Sound of Music, in which he played Captain Von Trapp. He's set to play Pontius Pilate in Nat Geo's Killing Jesus.

Knapp recently finished shooting Shane Black's noir thriller The Nice Guys, playing a villain opposite Russell Crowe and Ryan Gosling. The up-and-coming actor, whose previous credits include Super 8 and the sci-fi thriller The Signal, will appear in the Jake Gyllenhaal boxing drama Southpaw, the Liam Neeson thriller Run All Night and Disney's Coast Guard drama The Finest Hours.

He's represented by CAA and Luber Roklin's Lena Roklin. Moyer is repped by WME and Roklin.

CAA is handling Juveniles' worldwide sales rights.
