Barbara Walters Names Steve Jobs Most Fascinating Person of the Year (Video)
The Kardashians, Katy Perry, Herman Cain and Donald Trump were also featured on her annual top 10 list.
“The Protester” may have beat out Steve Jobs for the cover and title of Time’s Person of the Year issue, but the late Apple co-founder took the top spot on another year-end list: Barbara Walters’ Most Fascinating Person of the Year.
Walters revealed her top 10 list on Wednesday. As a rule, the program has never featured a person who was not alive at the time, according to ABC. In the report, Walters stated that the Apple founder was selected for the list before he died, around the time he stepped down from his position at Apple.

Walters decided to keep him on the list even after he died in October. “Rules were meant to be broken,” said Walters.
Walters did not get to interview Jobs for the piece, which instead featured photos and clips of the visionary, along with an interview with Disney president and CEO, Bob Iger.

“He wanted things that were insanely great, and would take or accept nothing less than that,” said Iger of Jobs in the ABC interview.
The other people featured during the ABC segment included the Kardashians, Katy Perry, Herman Cain, Donald Trump and Simon Cowell. Modern Family stars Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Eric Stonestreet were also featured along with the most famous sister in the world, Pippa Middleton.
