That represents the best start in five years.
Hollywood tentpoles have been the boxoffice motors in Germany, with Sony Pictures' "Terminator Salvation" and "Angels & Demons" two of the biggest drivers. With a slew of potential blockbuster sequels waiting in the wings including "Transformers 2," "Ice Age 3" and "Harry Potter 6," the boxoffice boom looks likely to continue.
