Studiocanal taps marketing exec
Shyama Friedenson named to international teamPARIS -- French production, sales and distribution house Studiocanal has named Shyama Friedenson as exec vp international marketing, Studiocanal said Wednesday.
Friedenson will set up shop in Paris and oversee the marketing and distribution of Studiocanal's international productions and acquisitions, plus the campaigns for Studiocanal's sales teams.
Friedenson, who will report to Studiocanal's head of international distribution Rodolphe Buet, will work closely with the marketing teams at Optimum Releasing in the U.K. and Kinowelt in Germany on upcoming titles such as "The Tourist," "Brighton Rock" and Festival de Cannes Competition title "The Princess of Monpensier."
Friedenson comes straight from her position as svp international marketing at Paramount Vantage after an eight-year run at Lionsgate.
