STX Entertainment Promotes Rich Sullivan to Run Digital Division
Formerly CFO, Sullivan now will focus on building out STXdigital as COO of the division.
STX Entertainment is upping CFO Rich Sullivan to run its digital division.
Sullivan has been appointed COO of STXdigital, a newly created position that will see him building out a digital business that includes short-form content, cross-platform partnerships and VR experiences. He also will work with STXalternative chief creative officer Jason Goldberg to expand digital programming and over-the-top capabilities.
"Rich has been pivotal in STX's ongoing and aggressive growth and diversification as we lead the industry in transforming beyond traditional platform-driven content to creating talent-driven enterprises," said STX Entertainment president Sophie Watts. "In this new post, we will rely on Rich to lead key innovations that will accelerate the frictionless movement of creative experiences across all platforms."
Sullivan, a veteran of DreamWorks Animation, is starting in his new role immediately, but will continue to perform his duties as CFO until STX names a successor.
