STX Names Patricia Rockenwagner Chief Communications Officer
Rockenwagner will oversee the communications across all divisions, including film, TV and gaming.
STX Entertainment has tapped Patricia Rockenwagner as the chief communications officer.
In the newly created executive position, Rockenwagner will handle of the company's positioning and communications for all of STX's projects that span film, TV, digital, virtual reality and gaming.
Rockenwagner will be the principal exec responsible for positioning the growing producer-financier as the company continues to reach into new markets and mediums.
She will start with the company on Jan. 17 and will reporter to Sophie Watts.
The Berkley grad previously led corporate branding and communications for names like Conde Nast, Paramount Pictures, Time Warner Cable, Comcast and AT&T.
Most recently, STX released the high school dramedy Edge of Seventeen and is currently in production on Aaron Sorkin's Molly's Game. STX, which was behind the Katherine Heigl drama State of Affairs, recently established an unscripted initiative, which included development deals for 12 shows on multiple networks and a deal for a project in China.
