If those Louis Vuitton “Speedy” bags are too slow for your taste, consider test-driving Bentley accessories, as the motor brand is releasing a luxury line of women’s handbags on Aug. 18. The initial collection features two bodies, available in colors inspired by Bentley paint finishes: the Barnato bag ($7,000) echoes the late aviator Diana Barnato-Walker, the first British woman to break the sound barrier; and the Continental ($5,500) honors the Bentley auto model. The line marks the brand’s first foray into the fashion space. [WWD]
