Joe Zee Leaves Yahoo Style [Facebook]
Joe Zee, editor-in-chief of Yahoo Style, is leaving the vertical after three years at the helm of the digital publication. "Logging off of @yahoostyle," Zee wrote Tuesday on Facebook. "What an incredible 3 years it has been for me. THANK YOU guys for all your support on this amazing ride. I am so proud of the site we built from the ground up but of course, no one does anything alone." The news comes as Yahoo is in the midst of nearly 2,100 layoffs following Verizon's acquisition of the company. In addition to his role at Yahoo Style, Zee regularly makes appearances on shows like Entertainment Tonight and Good Morning America to dole out fashion advice and forecasting.

Ten Over Six Closes Los Angeles Boutique, Plans Miami Store [Pret-a-Reporter Inbox]
Ten Over Six is closing its Los Angeles boutique on Melrose Avenue in West Hollywood after nine years and shuffling its resources to focus on opening a new store in Miami. Co-founders Kristen Lee and Brady Cunningham — who helped establish the cool quotient of the Melrose Place retail neighborhood while making fans of Kim Gordon and Gia Coppola along the way — are looking to expand their existing store in Dallas and possibly open a third location in Manhattan in 2018. The Miami store will focus on artist-aligned projects and open in time for Art Basel in December. The L.A. store will officially shutter next month, but until then, apparel, accessories and homeware will be up to 80 percent off.

Nars Addresses Animal Cruelty Practices on Instagram [Instagram]
In a single Instagram post, Nars has claimed that it disapproves of all animal testing and is actively seeking alternative methods, but it will continue to test products in accordance with Chinese law so that it can keep selling its products in the country. "We firmly believe that product and ingredient safety can be proven by non-animal methods, but we must comply with the local laws of the markets in which we operate, including in China," reads the post. "We have decided to make NARS available in China because we feel it is important to bring our vision of beauty and artistry to fans in the region." Animal rights activists claim the statement is hypocritical.

We want you to know that we hear you. The global elimination of animal testing needs to happen. We firmly believe that product and ingredient safety can be proven by non-animal methods, but we must comply with the local laws of the markets in which we operate, including in China. We have decided to make NARS available in China because we feel it is important to bring our vision of beauty and artistry to fans in the region. NARS does not test on animals or ask others to do so on our behalf, except where required by law. NARS is committed and actively working to advance alternative testing methods. We are proud to support the Institute for In Vitro Sciences (IIVS), a globally recognized organization at the forefront of advancing non-animal methods in China and around the world. NARS is hopeful that together, we can work toward a cruelty-free world. For more on the good work IIVS is doing, see: http://bit.ly/2rVjnwV
