Style Notes: Kylie Jenner, Bella Hadid Steal 'Vogue' Spotlight; Jean Paul Gaultier Collabs on Plus-Size Line
Your Tuesday fashion briefing.
Little sisters always get the hand-me-downs, but when your older sister is a supermodel, those hand-me-downs apparently include Vogue editorials. That's exactly what Bella Hadid, Kylie Jenner and Lottie Moss (younger sisters of Gigi, Kendall and Kate, respectively) received when they were offered an editorial photo shoot with photographer Gordon von Steiner for the glossy's January issue. The "stars in the making" donned Virgin Suicides-esque dresses and bare-faced beauty looks for the pared back spread. [Vogue]
Jean Paul Gaultier's latest project is a collaboration with Gossip frontwoman Beth Ditto on a plus-size clothing collection. Ditto revealed the project on her website Tuesday with a sneak peek at one of the items from the line: a t-shirt dress with an embroidered corset decal set against a black background. The corset tee is available now for $165 on Ditto's website, and the full collection is expected to drop in February. The rocker is no stranger to fashion — she walked at Gaultier's show in 2010, and was cast in Marc Jacobs' spring 2016 show. [BethDitto.com]
Complex magazine has launched a new documentary series which reveals the complicated world of reselling Supreme products. The limited-stock skate and streetwear brand has built its reputation around its exclusivity, which resellers have capitalized on by camping out in front of stores in order to get their hands on the merchandise during the Thursday morning drops. Both the L.A. store on Fairfax and the New York SoHo location see hundreds of resellers lined up each week. [Fashionista]
While shooting a commercial on Venice Beach over the summer, good-looking civilians Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid discovered a fellow good-looking (albeit, homeless) dude, and — naturally — the pair suggested that the Milwaukee-native, a 20-year-old named John Economou, become a model, too. The duo hooked him up with a contact at Two Model Management, where Economou is now signed. Unfortunately, the wannabe top model is still homeless, but that's ok — in addition to being beautiful, he also excels at picking up women and sleeping at their homes. This kid's got big things in his future. [Daily Mail]
