Despite the tumultuous luxury market, where brands including Prada and Burberry have continued to slip in sales, Kering has managed to maintain numbers, thanks in part to the success of both Rihanna's Fenty x Puma line and Hedi Slimane's designs for Saint Laurent. Group sales for Kering rose 2.7 percent overall in the first quarter, with Puma up 8.1 percent and Saint Laurent up a whopping 27.3 percent.

In an effort to streamline their fashion division, Amazon has decided to shutter MyHabit.com, the membership-based flash sale site launched in 2011. The company stated in a release that the move was a strategic one aimed at simplifying its fashion division — one of the fastest growing sections on its site. For now, the retail giant is focusing on building a presence in the fashion world with various projects including the Style Code Live show and a partnership with luxury retailer Moda Operandi.

The RealReal Raises $40 Million [Fashionista]
On Thursday, resale site The RealReal announced that they had raised another $40 million, bringing their total funds raised to $123 million. The company tells Fashionista that the capital will be used to fund new projects, though nothing is yet set in stone. International expansion or the acquisition of another site were named as speculative options; ultimately, The RealReal is aiming for an IPO in the next few years.
