Wind down your Monday with three style stories.

She may voice the villain in the new Minions movie, but Sandra Bullock has proven that she's really got a heart of gold. The actress raised more than $42,000 for the charity Art + Practice by auctioning off 10 pairs of minion-themed Rupert Sanderson heels — each signed by Bullock — on CharityBuzz.com. She then matched the amount raised for a total of $84,850. [British Vogue]

Designer Prabal Gurung will be honored by the Dallas chapter of Fashion Group International this November. The Nepal native will be awarded the career achievement  in fashion award — the association's highest honor — for his work not only in design, but also for his relief efforts following the massive earthquakes in his country earlier this year. This week, Amazon and Walmart are competing for customers' hearts (and money) with killer deals. After Amazon first announced Prime Day (July 15) — a celebration of the site's anniversary that will feature thousands of discounts for those members who have signed up and paid the annual $99 fee — Walmart announced that it, too, would have a glorious sale (both online and in stores) that would be available to all customers. The pair made subtle jabs at each other in their respective press releases as Walmart looks to encroach on Amazon's digital dominance. But when mega-retailers compete, customers win. [WWD]
