Off-White's Virgil Abloh Collaborates With IKEA [Instagram]

IKEA announced Wednesday that it has partnered with Off-White's Virgil Abloh on an upcoming collection, starting with a fresh take on the Scandinavian furniture company's iconic blue Frakta bag — the one that inspired Balenciaga's similar-looking tote bag for a cool $2,145 (as opposed to the original 99-cent version). "We're in a moment where IKEA is transcending, and people are bringing this 'do it yourself culture' to the blue bag," said Abloh. "It’s allowing me to put my opinion on a classic." Launching in 2019, the collab is described as offering "a provocative viewpoint on how young people consider design, and how they live with design and art at home."

Stella Bugbee Appointed President and Editor-in-Chief of The Cut [Pret-a-Reporter Inbox]

The Cut's editorial director Stella Bugbee has been promoted to president and editor-in-chief of the company's women's media brand, New York Media CEO Pam Wasserstein and editor-in-chief Adam Moss announced Wednesday. According to a release, Bugbee will be in charge of "formulating its strategic direction and plans for further growth, and capitalizing on its success with coverage of politics, careers, and gender issues, in addition to its trend-making fashion and beauty coverage." Bugbee, whose been with The Cut since its leap from blog to digital magazine in 2012, will also expand the site's original video content.

Who What Wear Launches Shopping App [PR Newswire]

Who What Wear, the online fashion platform founded by Katherine Power and Hillary Kerr in 2006, has launched a shopping app called SHOP/Who What Wear, now available to download on iOS. Users can shop from 30 retailers, including Gucci and Reformation, which have never previously participated in a third-party shopping app. Said Kerr: "With SHOP/Who What Wear, we have created the dream shopping scenario: You can shop multiple retailers with a single shopping cart and never need to remember another discount code again."
