Sumner Redstone Turns 90, Parties With Tom Cruise, Mark Wahlberg

Tony Bennett stopped the show at the mogul's Beverly Hills mansion, telling guests, "Sumner put me on MTV and made me a bigger star than I ever was."

Sumner Redstone's 90th birthday party at his Beverly Hills mansion on May 27 was a cavalcade of stars and moguls: Tom Cruise huddling with Mark WahlbergSherry LansingPhilippe Dauman and Danny DeVito.

But the showstopper was 87-year-old Tony Bennett crooning Redstone's favorite songs. Between numbers, Bennett talked about their long friendship, which goes back to when Bennett was out of work and thought his career was over. "Sumner put me on MTV and resurrected my career and made me a bigger star than I ever was. I will be forever grateful," he told the crowd.

One party foul: Arnon Milchan wore jeans to the formal event, thinking it was an afternoon cocktail soiree.
