RLJ Entertainment has closed a seven-figure deal for the U.S. rights to action thriller Bushwick, which made its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival.
The film, directed by Cary Murnion and Jonathan Milott, stars Brittany Snow and Dave Bautista as two Brooklyn residents who fight their way through a second civil war in America.
"We're thrilled to work with esteemed filmmakers like Cary and Jonathan to help bring Bushwick to the big screen," RLJ Entertainment's Mark Ward said in a statement. "With a great cast and a very timely story, we feel this is a film that will resonate with audiences all across the country."
Murnion and Milott added, "RLJ Entertainment is a fearless distributor that specializes in releasing unique and courageous projects. Films like Bushwick, and their 2015 release, Bone Tomahawk, show their passion and commitment for working with filmmakers who challenge the conventions of genre films. We are thrilled about this partnership."
The film was produced by Nate Bolotin, Bullet Pictures' Adam Folk and Joseph Mensch of Mensch Productions. Executive producers include Bautista, Jonathan Meisner, Nick Spicer and Todd Brown.
Bolotin negotiated the deal on behalf of XYZ Films and WME Global.
