Sundance Channel to Launch in Spain

At MipTV, Sundance France picks up 'The Walking Dead.'

 

CANNES -- The Sundance Channel is continuing its international roll-out, announcing plans to launch in Spain on Telefonica's IPTV service Moviestar Imagenio in June.

The move will mark the 9th international territory for Sundance's branded channel.

In a separate deal, Sundance Channel Global picked up rights in France and French-speaking Belgium for zombie series The Walking Dead from eOne Television. The series, which airs on AMC in the U.S., will bow in France and Belgium on Sundance's own branded channels.
