Sundance Channel taps Klein
Will serve as svp, original programming and developmentSundance Channel has tapped Michael Klein as svp of original programming and development, effective immediately.
In this role, Klein will oversee the cabler's programming, including serving as executive in charge of production for all network-produced shows.
In addition, Klein will be charged with overseeing the network's original programming development, including features, series and docs.
Klein joins Sundance Channel from Travel Channel, where he was svp of content responsible for the development and production of all original programming , including "Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations" and "Andrew Zimmern's Bizarre Foods." During his tenure, Travel Channel experienced record delivery and audience growth, and set prime time records with original series "Man V. Food" and "Ghost Adventures."
Klein is based in New York and will report to Sarah Barnett, evp and general manager for Sundance.
Prior to Travel Channel, Klein was vp of lifestyle programming for Discovery and before that had a production stint at Nelvana.
