Sundance Selects/IFC Films Taps Steven Cardwell to Head Digital Marketing
The exec was previously worldwide marketing head for the musical hit "The Book of Mormon."
Steven Cardwell is joining Sundance Selects/IFC Films as head of digital marketing. In the newly created position, he will be in charge of all digital and social marketing initiatives for AMC Networks' three film distribution labels -- Sundance Selects, IFC Films and IFC Midnight -- and will report to Sundance Selects/IFC Films' head of marketing Shani Ankori.
Prior to joining the company, Cardwell was the worldwide marketing director for the hit musical The Book of Mormon, where he maintained oversight for all four productions of the show (Broadway, London and two North American tours). He also served as the marketing director at Scott Rudin Productions, where he began his career as an assistant.
"Steven's creativity, knowledge, experience and expertise in the digital realm and within the entertainment industry make him the perfect fit for this position," Jonathan Sehring, president of Sundance Selects/IFC Films, said.
Sundance Selects, IFC Films and IFC Midnight are all sister labels, owned and operated by AMC Networks Inc.
