Superb Entertainment Adds Playtone Vet Miura Kite as EVP (Exclusive)
Kite comes to Meryl Poster's banner from Endemol Shine Studios.
Superb Entertainment is adding to its ranks.
Miura Kite has joined Meryl Poster's banner as executive vp scripted programing, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
Kite most recently worked with Christina Wayne at Endemol Shine Studios and Cineflex, helping set up shows at Cinemax and USA through the former deal.
Kite previously served as head of development for Tom Hanks' production company Playtone, overseeing television, film and emerging media projects and co-producing HBO's Game Change and The Pacific.
Her other previous credits include The Talented Mr. Ripley, Cold Mountain and Random Hearts from her stint at Mirage Enterprises.
Backed by A+E Studios, Superb recently made its first broadcast network sale with Marti Noxon's restaurant drama Hungry. (Poster is an exec producer on Noxon's Girlfriends Guide to Divorce.) Superb's other projects include the female-centered comedy Triangle Below Canal at HBO, the drama Intern Affairs at Lifetime and Changers, an adaptation of the YA series, at Lionsgate TV.
