Susan Sarandon Agrees She's Having a Terrible Time in Philly
The actress retweeted a GIF of herself looking miserable at the Democratic Convention with the caption: "Accurate."
Susan Sarandon is not having a good time at the Democratic National Convention.
On the heels of an earlier interview the actress gave about efforts to thwart Bernie Sanders' campaign during the primaries, a journalist captured Sarandon looking none-too-pleased while at the convention in Philadelphia on Monday.
"Susan Sarandon is having literally the worst time at the #DemConvention," the tweet was captioned.
Sarandon later shared the tweet with her own caption: "Accurate."
The avid Sanders supporter has been outspoken about her feelings of Hillary Clinton, even calling her "more dangerous" than Donald Trump and saying "it's inevitable" she will be indicted over the email scandal.
In an interview with the online network The Young Turks on Monday, Sarandon didn't hold back when asked about Friday's email leaks, revealing that DNC party leaders strategized on how to eliminate Sanders from the primary race.
"That's so disgusting," she said of Debbie Wasserman Schultz serving as honorary chairwoman after resigning over the controversy. "The critical question is, does it matter? Nixon resigned when they broke into the headquarters and now you found out all this tampering went on and I know there are lawsuits and things. I think we have to really ask: What's happened to us in terms of what we're willing to sacrifice to get our person in. Or, what does it really say about us if all of this goes by unattended?"
She also spoke about instances that she says she witnessed while out on the campaign trail for Sanders.
"All along there were these efforts to thwart communication," she said. "But the good news is that people are awake and they feel empowered and angry. And they're awakened to new possibilities."
