SXSW: Yahoo Announces Music Tour Featuring Jay-Z, Kendrick Lamar, Others
UPDATED: The summer's 21-date traveling festival will include appearances by special guests Justin Timberlake, Frank Ocean and Trey Songz.
Yahoo! made a big announcement at South by Southwest's Interactive portion in Austin, saying it would be getting deeper into the trendy live-music business by rolling out a massive international touring festival.
The 21-date Yahoo! on the Road jaunt will feature a variety of bands, comedians, actors and surprise guests, including fun. The Lumineers, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Kendrick Lamar, Imagine Dragons, Owl City, J.Cole and more. Jay-Z, Justin Timberlake, Frank Ocean and Trey Songz will appear during the trek's final stop at the Yahoo! Wireless Festival on July 12-14 in London.

Yahoo said attendees can expect "a daily mobile entertainment and innovation festival this spring/summer featuring the world's hottest bands, comedians and surprise guests." Its website says the fest will boast "32 performers, 10 comedians and one yodeler."
The tour will feature 14 stateside shows, starting May 3 in New York City and ending May 31 in San Francisco, and seven European dates from Berlin to London through the summer.
Although lineups have not been announced for individual shows yet, this news comes just as a collaboration between Jay-Z and Lamar was teased, also at SXSW, on a remix for the latter's track "Bitch Don't Kill My Vibe." During a DJ set, Jay-Z's friend and engineer Young Guru previewed the track, pulling it off before its end and telling the crowd, "Y’all might have to wait."
