Take That's Gary Barlow Reveals 'Star Wars: The Last Jedi' Cameo
"I'm not a stormtrooper, but I am in it," the boy band singer told British TV on Monday.
Christopher Nolan's upcoming World War II epic Dunkirk may have landed One Direction star Harry Styles, but producers of the next Star Wars installation have seemingly looked elsewhere to tick the boy band boxes.
Gary Barlow, frontman of Take That and host of BBC talent show Let It Shine, has revealed that he has a cameo in Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
"I'm not a stormtrooper, but I am in it," he said, speaking to U.K. channel ITV's chat show Lorraine on Monday.
"Now I’ve said that, I’ll probably be out," he added. "I think the Star Wars people are so strict about what information [is out there]. So me saying that, I’ve probably just done myself out of a role."
ITV later confirmed that it had checked with Disney about the casting and that it was correct. THR has also reached out to Disney for confirmation.
