'Taken 2' Trailer: There’s a New Bloodthirsty Dad in Town (Video)
Liam Neeson reprises his role as a revenge-fueled father and ex-CIA operative in the Oct. 5 release from Fox and EuropaCorp.
Like any respectable action sequel, Taken 2 has upped the ante. This time, there is more than one revenge-bent father tearing up foreign cities, and even more members of Liam Neeson’s family are in danger.
Early on, we get a shot of a funeral—part of the aftermath of Bryan Mills’ (Neeson) Parisian rampage from the previous film.

“We will find him, and we will have our revenge,” says the film’s bad guy, (Rade Sherbedgia) who appears to be the father of the Albanian mafia member Mills famously promised to find and kill. He kept that promise, viewers will recall.
As for Neeson’s character, the retired CIA operative is living a fine life in Turkey, when he receives a surprise visit from his daughter (Maggie Grace) and her mother (Famke Janssen). That’s when things go wrong, as foreshadowed by shady men eyeing the reunited family in their hotel lobby.
The trailer delivers what is promised from a Taken sequel, with Neeson giving a popular line from the first film a new twist.

“Listen to me carefully,” Mills tells his daughter over the phone. “Your mother is going to be taken.”
What will he do, she asks.
“I’ll do what I do best,” he says, before he takes out a bunch of armed bad guys
The 20th Century Fox and EuropaCorp film is being released Oct. 5. Olivier Megaton (Columbiana) is directing.
