'Tangled' Breaks 'Harry Potter's' Box Office Spell With $5 Million Friday

Disney's Tangled, a 3D animated adventure based on the Rapunzel fable, finally has untangled how to get past a certain broomstick-flying wizard to grab the top spot in the daily box-office rankings.

    The boy wizard may be a teenager now, but he’s lost none of his magic. Warner Bros.’ Deathly Hallows grossed $265.7 million domestically and $558.4 million overseas for a worldwide total of $824.1 million. Franchise has been a goldmine for Warners, explaining why the studio decided to split J.K. Rowling’s final book into two parts. There can never be too much of a good thing.
