Taylor Lautner will make his debut as an action hero in the upcoming Lionsgate mystery, Abduction, out Sept. 23.

Lautner, most recently spotted in the new Breaking Dawn trailer, plays Nathan in the John Singleton directed film -- a teenager who finds his own baby photo on a missing persons website. The discovery sets in motion a whirlwind adventure; finding Nathan and love interest Karen (Lily Collins) on the run from a series of bad guys and Agents.

Alfred Molena, Jason Isaacs, Maria Bello, Sigourney Weaver and Denel Whitaker also star in the flick, which began filming in July 2010 in Pittsburgh, PA.
