Taylor Swift Stars in Keds' New "Ladies First" Campaign
Who better to front the progressive, female-empowering ads?
Keds and Taylor Swift go way back. The pair first got together in 2013, and since then Swift has starred in multiple campaigns for the little-white-shoe company. But now, the 25-year-old and Keds are taking their relationship to a new level by joining forces on a topic near and dear to both parties' hearts: equality and female empowerment.
WWD first reported that Keds' new "Ladies First" fall campaign will feature photos of Swift in the slip-on sneaks with encouraging messages like, "All dressed up and everywhere to go," and "'Oh girl' is the new 'Oh boy,'" emblazoned over the images. Backdrops for the shoot were also commissioned by prominent female artists, including illustrator Priscilla White and street artist Paige Smith.
The brand Instagrammed a preview of the campaign with the caption, "Because we can hardly contain our excitement...sneak peek inside our Fall photoshoot with @taylorswift. New collection arrives tomorrow on Keds.com!"
