TCM Sets Tribute to Late Actress Ann Rutherford
Ten of the star’s films to air on July 3; marathon concludes with the legendary “Gone With the Wind.”
Turner Classic Movies will pay tribute to actress Ann Rutherford on July 3 with an all-day marathon of the actress’ films, it was announced Tuesday.
Rutherford, the Gone With the Wind actress who starred as Mickey Rooney’s girlfriend in the Andy Hardy movies of the 1930s and ‘40s, died Monday evening at her home in Beverly Hills. She was 94.
TCM’s 10-film memorial tribute is set to begin at 3 a.m. (PT) with Of Human Hearts (1938) and will conclude at 5 p.m. with 1939’s Gone With the Wind.
