Wait, don't kill 'em all

Metallica reversed what it called an error by management company Q Prime and is now allowing blogs to post reviews based on rough cuts of the band's forthcoming album. Representatives for Metallica last week demanded that the reviews be taken down because the tracks that were previewed for the bloggers were not yet complete.

Glu holds 'Hancock'

Mobile game publisher Glu Mobile said Wednesday that it will distribute Sony Pictures Television International mobile game titles in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Latin America, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. The first game under the pact will be a title based on the upcoming movie "Hancock," with new versions of mobile games based on "Wheel of Fortune" and "Jeopardy!" also on the slate.

Univision gets musical

Univision.com launched Thursday the music microsite En Directo, a Web offering aimed at lovers of Latin music featuring free streamed online concerts showcasing top recording artists, behind-the-scenes footage, photo galleries and downloads. The online concerts will be recorded and streamed, giving music fans access to their favorite artists and serving as a digital platform for Toyota and its marketing push for the new Corolla, per Univision.com. The Web portal's first online concert featured Colombian singer Fonseca and is available at Univision.com.
