Ted Nugent Explodes at CBS News Employees in Curse-Filled Rant (Video)
In an interview held at his ranch, the rocker fielded questions about Mitt Romney's presidential prospects, and became enraged when described as a "moderate."
Rocker-conservative activist Ted Nugent cursed out a CBS News anchor and a producer during an interview at his ranch in China Spring, Texas, that aired Friday on CBS This Morning.

Sitting down for his first national TV interview since making such incendiary remarks about President Barack Obama that it earned him a visit from Secret Service agents, Nugent exploded, perhaps at the notion he wasn’t politically “moderate."
Conversely, the outburst might have been related to political correctness, a notion Nugent abhors and which he revisited multiple times during the interview. Or, the explosion could have been caused by the painful kidney stone Nugent had removed at a hospital shortly after the interview.
Whatever the catalyst, the interview with special correspondent Jeff Glor played out like this:
Glor: “If Mitt Romney is to win, he needs at least some of the moderate vote. You are many things. You are not moderate.”
Nugent: “If you examine how I conduct myself, I don’t think a day goes by in my life, for many, many years now, that we don’t do charity work for children. I offer you this. Have you done a lot of interviews?”
Glor: “Decent number.”
Nugent: “Call me when you sit down across from someone who has more families with dying little boys and girls who get a call to take them on their last fishing trip in life! Call me when you meet someone who does that more than I do. Because that’s really moderate. In fact, you know what that is? That’s extreme! I’m an extremely loving, passionate man, and people who investigate me honestly without the baggage of political correctness ascertain the conclusion that I’m a damn nice guy.”
Shortly after that, Nugent hurled bleeped expletives at Glor and at an off-camera female producer. Video of the segment is below.
The voiceover during the segment informed the audience: “We have no idea where the unexpected outburst came from.”
Nugent was also miffed that the Fort Knox military post scratched him from a concert where he was to perform with Styx and REO Speedwagon, citing a fiery speech he made at an NRA conference where he said of Obama and other elected Democrats, “We need to ride into that battlefield and chop their heads off in November.”
The Secret Service investigated the remarks and determined Nugent was speaking metaphorically and that he hadn’t actually threatened physical violence.
“These military guys are my blood brothers,” Nugent said during the CBS interview Friday. “So then, when I hear that political correctness has somehow metastasized into the decision makers of the military, I was really let down that political correctness has any role at all in the military.”
Glor said that, after the segment, Nugent’s wife had him apologize to Glor and to the off-camera producer for his curse-filled tirade. Glor said Nugent called the next day to inform him that he was rushed to the hospital to have a kidney stone removed after the interview.
